Following Swadeshi Campaign, MP Will Build a Better Tomorrow: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that following the Swadeshi campaign, the state is building a strong future heading for Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He stated that industrial investments in Raisen district will give a new dimension to Madhya Pradesh’s industrial landscape. This will not only open new avenues of employment for local youth but will also boost the rural economy.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi-Pujan for new industrial units worth Rs. 416 crore in Tamot village of Raisen district on Friday. This included the Bhoomi-Pujan for 6 new units spread over 12 hectares at a cost of Rs. 300 crore and the inauguration of 6 units worth Rs. 116 crore. The Chief Minister said, these projects will provide direct and indirect permanent employment to thousands of local youths. He emphasised that the state government is committed to realising Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, giving priority to local resources and talent under the ‘Swadeshi’ campaign.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav noted that Saturday marks the festival of Raksha Bandhan, and India’s traditions are now being acknowledged worldwide. “The British who ruled India for 300 years are now being employed by our companies,” he remarked. Under PM Modi’s leadership, the nation has achieved many milestones—Indian Railways has made unprecedented progress, the Vande Bharat trains and metro network have expanded, and now modern railway and metro coach manufacturing will take place in Umaria village near Bhopal. He informed that on August 10, Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh will lay the foundation stone for the BEML Rolling Stock Factory, which will become a major centre for train coach manufacturing in Central India. On August 25, PM Shri Modi will visit Dhar to lay the foundation of the PM Mitra Park.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, highlighting the Friday’s events, said that today’s Rs. 300 crore investment includes companies like JBM Auto and Balaji Rotomac. Two new units were also issued letters of intent for land allotment, involving an investment of around Rs. 150 crore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under PM Modi’s leadership, the times have changed—earlier, inaugurations were limited to drains, roads, and electric poles, but now industries are being inaugurated or launched every day. He stated that India will never bow to any country and will always follow the principle of India First. The country’s economy, once ranked 15th globally, is now at 4th place. “This is the right time to make India’s economy number one,” he asserted, adding that India’s development trajectory is transforming in step with the changing world.
The Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also recalled the state’s initiatives—regional industry conclaves at divisional levels, followed by the first-ever Global Investors Summit in Bhopal attended by PM Modi. He acknowledged the efforts of late former CM Shri Sunderlal Patwa in boosting industries in Mandideep, former CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, late Union Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj and late Union Minister Shri Anant Kumar in developing the Plastic Park at Tamot. He said, Raisen is an ideal place for setting up industries.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that the state government is promoting not only large industries along with startups and small enterprises. Service sector and logistics supply chain development is underway, and the textile industry is being provided with all facilities. Soon, Madhya Pradesh will also have air cargo facilities. The state already has a strong road network, and for employment-generating industries, the government will provide a grant of Rs. 5,000 per worker as wage support.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said on aviation connectivity that new state policies provide Rs. 15 lakh per international flight as subsidy. Under the Government of India’s UDAN scheme, the state is working on an air tourism policy. Jabalpur, Rewa and Sidhi have been connected by air and considering the state’s large geographical area, air ambulance services have been provided for the poor, labourers, and the needy. To promote humanitarian values, the Rahveer Yojana will reward Rs. 25,000 to those who help road accident victims reach hospitals. Madhya Pradesh is also the only state offering land for opening medical colleges and hospitals at nominal lease rent. The Chief Minister added that industrialists provide large-scale employment, housing, food, and essential facilities, thereby also serving society in significant ways. For the state, all MSMEs and small industries that create local employment are important.
Bhojpur MLA Shri Surendra Patwa said that under PM Modi’s leadership, the nation’s economy is growing rapidly and CM Dr. Yadav is bringing top industrialists to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The industrial areas are expanding, and Raisen’s Obaidullaganj and Goharganj will benefit from Bhopal’s transformation into a metropolitan city.
JBM Auto President Shri Vinay Maheshwari said that their company, established in 1996, also manufactures electric buses and operates two units in Indore. A new unit will start production by March 2026, providing employment to 400 people. He expressed gratitude to CM Dr. Yadav and MPIDC.
