Study Committee on Induction of Employees under ‘Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan’

Mumbai : A decision was taken today to constitute a study committee regarding the induction of contract employees working under the ‘Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan’. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde directed that this committee should work in a time-bound manner and submit the report at the earliest.

A meeting was held at the Sahyadri State Guest House on this issue, chaired by Chief Minister Shinde and attended by School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar. Also present were MLAs Bharat Gogawle, Dnyaneshwar Mhatre, Kishore Darade, Jagannath Abhyankar, former MLA Adv. Manisha Kayande, along with a delegation of teachers’ representatives.

Chief Minister Shinde stated that this initiative works towards enhancing the quality of education in schools. He emphasized the need for justice for all employees involved and highlighted the importance of studying similar programs in other states. The committee will conduct a comprehensive study and submit a report, including inputs from teacher representatives. The Chief Minister reiterated that the committee should work promptly and submit its report as soon as possible.

The committee will be chaired by the Secretary of the School Education Department and will include MLAs Mhatre, Abhyankar, Darade, and former MLA Adv. Kayande.

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department O. P. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary of the Planning Department Rajagopal Deora, Principal Secretary of the School Education Department Ranjitsinh Deol, Education Commissioner Suraj Mandhare, State Project Director of Comprehensive Education R. Vimala, and others were present.
