CM Vishnudev Sai’s Resolve – The Incomplete Dream of Development Will Now Be Fulfilled; Khairagarh–Chhuikhadan–Gandai District to Get a New Boost in Infrastructure

Raipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone-laying ceremony at village Pipariya in Khairagarh–Chhuikhadan–Gandai district, said that although the district was created during the tenure of the previous government, there was no serious attention given to the development of its basic infrastructure. He stated that his government has taken it upon itself to address this gap and will now equip Khairagarh–Chhuikhadan–Gandai with strong infrastructure and modern amenities to ensure comprehensive development.

During the program, the Chief Minister announced a historic package of development works worth ₹611.21 crore for the district — this includes the foundation laying of 18 projects worth ₹470.98 crore and the inauguration of 53 completed projects worth ₹140.23 crore.

He said these projects mark a solid beginning towards realizing the dream of a developed Khairagarh and assured that the aspirations of the district’s elders, youth, mothers, and sisters will be fulfilled. Respecting public sentiment, he made announcements including the development of Pailimeta as a tourism destination, construction of a high-level water tank in Chhuikhadan at a cost of ₹50 lakh, the opening of a “Paan Café” to promote betel leaf cultivation, construction of a fully-equipped 500-seat auditorium in Khairagarh, and establishment of a college in Mudhipar. He assured that these works will be included in the next financial year’s budget.

Chief Minister Sai said he has always had an emotional and personal bond with Khairagarh, Rajnandgaon, Kawardha, and Manpur–Mohla. Now, as the leader of the state, he is working with full dedication and commitment to move Chhattisgarh forward on the path of development. Over the past one and a half years, his government has rapidly implemented schemes for the welfare of all sections of society and is taking concrete steps to fulfill the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Highlighting farmers’ welfare, he said that paddy is being procured at 21 quintals per acre at ₹3,100 per quintal, ensuring direct and fair returns to farmers. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 18 lakh houses have been sanctioned and construction is progressing swiftly, generating employment for masons, shuttering plate makers, and other skilled construction workers in villages.

Calling the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ a revolutionary step to make women economically self-reliant, he announced that fresh applications will soon be invited. Currently, 70 lakh women in the state receive monthly financial assistance through this scheme, and many have started their own businesses.

He also mentioned increased procurement rates for tendu leaf collectors, ₹10,000 financial assistance each to 5.62 lakh landless agricultural laborers, and that under the Shri Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, 22,000 devotees have so far been taken to Ayodhya for darshan.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with public cooperation, Khairagarh–Chhuikhadan–Gandai will soon be among the leading districts of the state, with strong infrastructure and comprehensive development.

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Raman Singh said that under Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s leadership, Chhattisgarh is the first state government in the country to procure paddy at ₹3,100 per quintal at 21 quintals per acre. He emphasized that the government’s aim is not just to make schemes, but to ensure 100% implementation so that benefits reach the last person in line.

On this occasion, Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan, MP Santosh Pandey, Khairagarh MLA Yashoda Verma, along with other public representatives, officials, and distinguished citizens were present.
