Serving Tribal Families is like serving humanity: Minister Dr. Shah

Minister for Tribal Affairs Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah said that serving tribal families is in truest sense a service to humanity. He noted that Prime Minister Modi’s people-centric vision has led to initiatives like the Adi Karmayogi Campaign. Protecting the interests of tribal families is the top priority of the state government. He added that PM Modi has focused intensely on the holistic development of tribal communities. Under Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s leadership, new projects are being created to advance the social and economic status of tribal communities.

Dr. Shah said that tribal communities are nature-worshipping societies. After independence, those who should have seriously worked for tribal development did not pay expected attention. Today, PM Modi has taken responsibility for tribal development by initiating programs like PM Janman Yojana, Dharti Aba Yojana, and the Adi Karmayogi initiative. The tribal families are expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister.

This transformation is a result of PM Modi’s visionary leadership and inclusive approach. He urged people to commit themselves to the holistic development of tribal communities by associating with Adi Karmayogi. A time-bound action plan and strategy should be designed for speedy disposal of tribal families’ minor problems.

He said that both central and state governments have however launched various tribal development schemes but priorities should be fixed. Madhya Pradesh has shown excellent performance on many fronts. For example, the state has stood ahead in the country in granting forest land rights to forest dwellers.

Prominent officials present included Principal Secretary for Tribal Affairs Shri Gulshan Bamra, Commissioner for Tribal Affairs Shri Shreeman Shukla, and representatives of the Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation.
