On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoisted the national flag at the Chief Minister’s residence. On this occasion, he also administered the oath of national unity. The Chief Minister extended Independence Day greetings to the people of the state.
He paid tribute to the great heroes who made the supreme sacrifice for the freedom of the nation and the protection of Mother India. Remembering those who lost their lives in the disaster in Dharali and other areas of the state, he expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said that arrangements will be made for the rehabilitation of the disaster-affected areas.
The Chief Minister said that, in line with the dreams of the immortal martyrs, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s recognition at the global level has increased. Many historic decisions have been taken in the country under his leadership. In Uttarakhand, reconstruction and new development works are progressing rapidly.
He further said that the state government is committed to the all-round development of Uttarakhand. Plans for the next 25 years are being worked upon, and with public cooperation, efforts are being made to make Uttarakhand the leading state of the country.
