Welfare Schemes Must Reach Every Eligible Person, Development Works Should Be Completed on Time: Deputy CM Diya Kumari

Jaipur, August 2025 – Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari was on a one-day visit to Bhilwara district on Sunday, where she held a detailed review meeting at the Gulabpura Sub-Divisional Office. The meeting focused on the progress of works under the Public Works Department (PWD), Tourism Department, and the Department of Women and Child Development.

Directions to Speed Up Schemes
Diya Kumari instructed officials to ensure that the benefits of government welfare schemes reach every eligible person in a time-bound manner. She emphasized that road construction and repair projects must be completed with quality and within deadlines, tourism-related development works should be expedited, and Women & Child Development schemes must be effectively implemented on the ground.

Strict Stand on PWD Works
Taking a tough stance on complaints regarding PWD projects, she directed that negligent contractors who fail to deliver quality and timely work should be blacklisted. She asked officials to monitor works in the field personally. Appreciating PWD’s innovation, she noted that polytechnic students were trained to randomly inspect 51 roads, of which 45 were rated “excellent” and 6 “moderate.”

Budget Announcements and CSR Contribution
The Deputy CM instructed that pending budget announcements related to Bhilwara must be implemented without delay. She also appealed to corporates to utilize their CSR funds for public welfare projects.

Focus on Anganwadis and Tourism
Kumari called for efforts to improve the condition of Anganwadis and encouraged philanthropists to support their renovation. Reviewing tourism projects, she said the central and state governments are committed to restoring and upgrading heritage sites. Under the PRASAD scheme, ₹48 crore has been approved for the development of the Devnarayan Temple in Asind and 20 other temples.

Transparency and Public Engagement
She stressed that foundation stone-laying and inauguration updates should be promptly shared with public representatives and that officials must maintain direct communication with citizens to ensure quick grievance redressal.

The meeting was attended by MP Damodar Agarwal, District Collector Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, MLAs, senior officials, and department heads.
