Jodhpur–Delhi Route May Soon Get Vande Bharat Express: Union Ministers Discuss Proposal

Jaipur Aug 2025 : Good news may soon be on the way for passengers traveling on the Jodhpur–Delhi rail route. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Monday met with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi and proposed the introduction of a Vande Bharat Express between Jodhpur and Delhi.

In the proposal, Shekhawat specifically requested that the train depart from Jodhpur early in the morning and return from Delhi the same evening, enabling passengers to complete a round trip within a single day. This would provide much-needed convenience and save valuable travel time.

The suggestion reflects a long-standing demand of travelers. If implemented, it will strengthen fast, safe, and modern rail connectivity between Delhi and key cities like Jodhpur and Jaipur, benefiting not only the general public but also boosting trade, education, and tourism across several districts.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw responded positively to the proposal and assured that a decision would be taken soon, keeping public convenience in mind. There is a strong possibility that an official announcement regarding the new Vande Bharat service on this route will be made in the near future.
