Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) First Level Checking (FLC) Underway in Mamit District

Aug 2025 : As part of the preparations for the upcoming 2-Dampa (ST) Assembly Constituency bye-election in Mamit District, the First Level Checking (FLC) of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) commenced today at the FLC Hall, DC Complex, Mamit District, in accordance with instructions issued by the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office.

The First Level Checking (FLC) is conducted to examine whether the EVMs are functioning properly or not. For this process, three engineers from the EVM manufacturing company have been deputed to Mamit District Election Office, where the required arrangements for the FLC have been made.

The Assistant Chief Electoral Officer from the CEO’s office supervised the FLC on-site, while the Chief Electoral Officer’s office also monitored the process continuously through live webcasting.

The FLC will be conducted over a period of three days and is scheduled to continue till August 21, 2025.
