This Year, 367 Additional Train Services for Ganesh Devotees – CM Devendra Fadnavis Thanks the Centre

Mumbai, Aug 2025 : Ganeshotsav is the pride of Maharashtra. Every year, devotees of Lord Ganesha travel to Konkan and other parts of the state to celebrate the festival with their families. Railways play a vital role in facilitating this travel. For this year, Indian Railways has planned 367 additional train services compared to previous years, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced.

Sharing this update, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed gratitude on behalf of all Ganesh devotees in the state to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for this special arrangement.

In line with the upcoming Ganeshotsav preparations, the Maharashtra government had requested the Railway Minister and Indian Railways to run additional trains for the convenience of devotees. Responding positively, the Union Railway Minister confirmed through official communication that 367 extra trips would be operated this year for devotees traveling to Konkan and other destinations, said CM Fadnavis.

Every year, thousands of Konkan residents living in Mumbai travel back to their hometowns for Ganeshotsav. Citizens from other parts of the state also undertake journeys during this festive season. These additional train services will provide major relief and convenience for all devotees.

Speaking to the media, CM Fadnavis reiterated his thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, stating that this decision has brought significant relief to Ganesh devotees across Maharashtra.
