Freshers’ Social and Farewell Programme Organized at Nursing School Lunglei

Lunglei, Aug 2025: Nursing School Lunglei (NSL) today organized the Freshers’ Social for the 31st batch of students along with the Farewell programme for the outgoing 28th batch.

The event, held at the NSL Auditorium, began with a welcome song presented by the NSL Choir, followed by an invocation from Tutor Miss Lalthankimi. In her address, Principal Pi C. Rothangpuii spoke on the significance of welcoming new students and bidding farewell to the outgoing batch. She urged the students to uphold sincerity and a spirit of service in both their academic journey and future professional careers. She also highlighted the importance of self-awareness, skill demonstration, and meaningful contributions from teachers, staff, and students alike.

The programme featured various performances, songs, dances, and other entertainment activities. A community feast was also held in the evening as part of the celebrations.

Established in 1995, the Nursing School Lunglei has been recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), and admits 20 students annually for the General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course. The GNM programme is a three-year course. At present, the 29th, 30th, and 31st batches of students are pursuing their studies at the institution.
