Jaipur, Aug 2025 : Chief Secretary Mr. Sudhansh Pant said that the Rajasthan government is committed to providing affordable housing to all in the state. He emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Bhajanlal Sharma, several schemes have been implemented to strengthen urban infrastructure in Rajasthan, while central government policies are also being effectively carried out at the state level.

Mr. Pant was addressing the 17th National Convention of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) in New Delhi on Friday. On this occasion, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department Mr. Debashish Prusty, Secretary of Local Self-Government Mr. Ravi Jain, and RERA Chairperson Mrs. Veenu Gupta were also present.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Pant said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, remarkable progress has been achieved in the country’s urban sector and infrastructure over the past few years. Whether it is road development, affordable housing for all, or the goal of providing clean drinking water to every household, Rajasthan too has made significant achievements alongside the rest of the country. This year, Rajasthan has launched a new Township Policy and Model Building Bylaws to give greater convenience and momentum to new projects.
The Chief Secretary stated that to create a better investment environment in any state, simplifying policies and processes is essential. In this direction, Rajasthan is revising old regulations to reduce unnecessary burdens. The state is also effectively implementing Transit-Oriented Development and Transferable Development Rights (TDR) Policy.
He further informed that this year, the Rajasthan government has presented a Green Budget, which includes special provisions for making cities sustainable and environmentally friendly. It emphasizes circular economy, sustainable resource use, and effective land utilization.
Highlighting the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, Mr. Pant said that Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth about ₹1.25 lakh crore were signed in the urban sector alone. Of these, projects worth ₹25,000 crore were launched on the spot, which he described as a major achievement.
He stressed that in the past year, the Rajasthan government has introduced 15 new policies across various sectors, including industry, tourism, mining and minerals, civil aviation, and energy. Work is underway on additional policies as well, to make cities more sustainable, livable, and better connected.
He added that Rajasthan’s geographical location has been an advantage. Keeping this in view, the state has recently announced nine greenfield expressways, which will connect major cities and highways, thereby accelerating development. He also mentioned that the Rajasthan government, in collaboration with the central government, is working to begin Phase-2 of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project.
Mr. Pant further said that in addition to providing affordable housing, the Rajasthan government is effectively implementing schemes and programs such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure the benefits of development reach the common people and to make cities more sustainable and livable.
Reassuring participants at the convention, the Chief Secretary said, “Our motto is to make our cities and the lives of their residents simple and convenient.” He stressed that all schemes in the state are being implemented with this vision.
