High-Level Convergence Meeting Links Government Schemes with SHG Network to Empower Rajeevika Women

Jaipur, Aug 2025 : To make rural women in Rajasthan self-reliant and ensure direct benefits of government schemes reach them, all state departments will now work together. For this purpose, a high-level Convergence Meeting was organized on Friday at the State Secretariat by the Rajasthan Grameen Aajeevika Vikas Parishad (Rajeevika), under the chairmanship of State Mission Director, Mrs. Neha Giri.

Mrs. Neha Giri directed all departments to work in coordination so that rural women in Rajasthan can be connected to maximum government schemes and empowered.

Rajeevika Project Director, Mrs. Preeti Singh, shared detailed information about the structure and objectives of Self-Help Groups (SHGs). State Project Manager, Mrs. Neeru Tulsiram Meena, presented information about Rajeevika’s initiatives related to social inclusion, social development, health, nutrition, sanitation, gender, inclusive livelihood planning, VPRP, and groups of differently-abled persons, which are playing a significant role in women’s economic and social progress.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from 13 departments, including Panchayati Raj, Health & Family Welfare, Women & Child Development, Education, Police, and Social Justice. All departments agreed to prioritize linking their women-centric schemes with the SHG network of Rajeevika.

Representatives from partner organizations such as UNICEF, Sightsavers, and The Nudge also shared their views and support for the initiative.
