Mamit, Aug 2025 : Today, the 5th Anniversary of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was observed in Mamit with an anti-drug awareness rally held from Chawkawn to Field Veng, Mamit. As part of the event, an Essay Writing and Poster Making Competition for students was organized at the GSA Playground. The prize distribution ceremony was led by Pu K. After the rally, a public gathering was held where Pu K. Lalnunfela, District Education Officer, and Pu Lalsangzuala Ralte, Assistant Commissioner of Excise & Narcotics, Mamit, addressed the participants. They highlighted that Mamit District is unfortunately among the three districts of Mizoram included in India’s list of 100 highly drug-affected districts.
