Guardian Minister’s Appeal: Treat Government Jobs as a Service.
Jalgaon : “We can truly serve the poor and underprivileged if we view our government jobs as a form of service,” said Guardian Minister Gulabrao Patil. He emphasized the importance of struggle in life, stating that it is through struggle that we realize our dreams. He urged newly appointed government employees to serve the poor and win the hearts of the people.
State Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan highlighted the recruitment of 19,000 employees by the State Rural Development Department over the past year, which is now in its final stage. Conducting exams for such a large number of candidates is no easy task, but Mahajan expressed pride in the transparent manner in which the appointments were made.
Since last year, the Maharashtra government has been implementing a large-scale recruitment process. Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil noted that the newly appointed officers and employees are now responsible for upholding the transparency and integrity of the government. He expressed confidence that they would build a positive image through their work.
The distribution of appointment letters to the final selected candidates under Mahabharti 2023-2024, along with the launch of the Jalgaon tourism tape, was held at Sambhaji Raje Theater in Mahabal on Thursday, July 25. The event was attended by State Rural Development and Tourism Minister Girish Mahajan, Disaster Management and Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Anil Patil, Collector Ayush Prasad, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ankit, and other prominent district officials.
Minister Mahajan announced that the government aims to provide employment to over 75,000 youth to mark 75 years of independence. He congratulated the newly appointed candidates, acknowledging the hard work it takes to secure a government job in today’s competitive environment. The new officers include 195 Talathi, 35 Junior Civil Engineers, 32 Civil Engineer Assistants, 10 Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Officers, 35 Junior Assistants, and 114 Education Servants.
In his speech, Minister Mahajan also mentioned the state’s recent radical changes in tourism policy, aimed at boosting tourism and providing employment through the sector.
The program began with an introduction by Collector Ayush Prasad and concluded with a vote of thanks from Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ankit. Resident Deputy Collector Sopan Kasar, who is retiring on July 31, was felicitated by the dignitaries present.
