Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Attends Jain Community Conference at Digambar Jain Panchayati Temple

Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday participated in the Jain Community Conference held at Shri Digambar Jain Panchayati Temple and received blessings from the Jain spiritual leaders.

The Chief Minister said that Acharya Saurabh Sagar Muniji Maharaj’s life is a symbol of the unparalleled ideals of restraint, sacrifice, and non-violence. He added that Saurabhanchal Tirth and Jeevan Asha Hospital are shining examples of his visionary leadership and compassion, guiding society on the path of religion and service.

Highlighting the teachings of Jainism, Dhami noted that the faith has given the world the message that non-violence is the true essence of bravery. He praised the Jain community for presenting not only the principle of non-violence but also a remarkable example of organization and social unity.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed that the state government is committed to the holistic development of Uttarakhand. He underlined that Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). He further mentioned that, following the enactment of the Anti-Cheating Law, more than 25,000 youths have successfully secured government jobs.

Dhami emphasized that protecting the demography of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is a top priority for the government. To this end, anti-conversion and anti-riot laws have been implemented. Over 9,000 acres of government land have also been freed from illegal encroachments.

On the suggestion regarding the formation of a Jain Welfare Board, the Chief Minister assured that the government would seriously consider it. He expressed confidence that the Jain community would continue to extend its support in the overall development of Uttarakhand.

The event was attended by Ravindra Muniji Maharaj, Rajesh Muniji Maharaj, MLA Vinod Chamoli, Khajan Das, Padma Shri Dr. R.K. Jain, and other dignitaries.
