Seventh Instalment of ‘Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Yojana’ Distributed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

₹1,892.61 Crore Deposited into Bank Accounts of 91.65 Lakh Farmers Across Maharashtra

Mumbai, Sept 2025 : The seventh instalment of the ‘Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Yojana’, a scheme launched to ensure the financial stability of farmers, was distributed today by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. An amount of ₹1,892.61 crore has been directly deposited into the bank accounts of 91,65,156 farmers across the state.

The Agriculture Department organized a program at Mantralaya to release the seventh instalment of funds under the scheme to eligible beneficiaries. The event was attended by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne, cabinet colleagues, and Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar.

The state government launched this scheme on the lines of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana of the Central Government. Its aim is to provide direct financial assistance to eligible farmers to support agricultural expenses. Under this seventh instalment, grants covering the period April 2025 to July 2025 were distributed to the beneficiaries. Farmers already included under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi have also received benefits from the state’s Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Yojana. Given the backdrop of excessive rainfall, this support is expected to be crucial for farmers.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, eligible farmers receive an annual grant of ₹6,000. Complementing this, the state government provides an additional ₹6,000 annually through the Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Yojana, ensuring beneficiaries receive ₹12,000 every year.

So far, under the state scheme, six instalments have been released, benefiting 93,09,000 farmers with a total disbursement of ₹11,130 crore.

Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne said the scheme is vital for increasing farmers’ incomes, meeting production costs, and making agriculture sustainable. Through the past six instalments, financial aid has already been deposited directly into the accounts of lakhs of farmers across Maharashtra. With the release of the seventh instalment, the number of beneficiaries will further increase. He added that the scheme has also been instrumental in strengthening the rural economy.
