Platinum Jubilee of GMC Bhopal to be Celebrated with Grandeur: Dy CM Shri Shukla

Bhopal, Sept 2025 : Deputy Chief Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that Gandhi Medical College (GMC) Bhopal is a proud national heritage. The Institution has produced thousands of doctors and specialists who have made remarkable contributions to the field of medicine. He stated that the college’s Platinum Jubilee is a historic occasion and should be organised in a well-planned and dignified manner. He directed departmental officials to ensure full cooperation at every level for the smooth conduct of the program.

A delegation of GMC Alumni Association representatives met Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla at the Mantralaya on Tuesday and invited him to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. The delegation also shared details of the major events scheduled on this occasion.

Shri Shukla assured the representatives that the government would extend full support for the celebrations. He said that alumni, being well acquainted with the institution’s conditions and needs, can provide valuable suggestions for its strengthening. He further directed that representatives of the Alumni Association be included in the General Body meetings so that their experience and insights could continuously benefit the college administration.

Extending best wishes for GMC Bhopal’s Platinum Jubilee, Shri Shukla expressed confidence that the event would serve as an opportunity to connect alumni from across the state and the country, taking forward the college’s glorious tradition to new heights.

The representatives of the GMC Alumni Association also briefed about development works and other initiatives being undertaken by former students on the campus. The representatives proposed upgrading the institution’s infrastructure and facilities and sought government support for the same.

Principal Secretary, Public Health and Medical Education, Shri Sandeep Yadav, Commissioner Shri Tarun Rathi, MD, MP Public Health Services Corporation Limited, Shri Mayank Agrawal, departmental officers and representatives of GMC Alumini Association were present on the occasion.
