Council Schools Celebrate Eco Club Day on 6th Day of ‘Shiksha Week’

Lucknow : Under the leadership of the Yogi Sarkar, the Department of Basic Education is continuously working towards the overall development of children in council schools. As part of this initiative, ‘Eco Club Day’ was celebrated on the sixth day of ‘Shiksha Week’ to instill environmental awareness among students from a young age. During this event, children were educated about environmental protection.

It is noteworthy that the Yogi government is persistently striving to create an excellent educational environment in the state and to transform Uttar Pradesh into a ‘proficient state’ through council schools. Eco Club Day is an integral part of this process. The participation of council school children in various activities over seven days is aimed at making Uttar Pradesh a proficient region.

Eco Club Day Activities:

• Peds Lagao Abhiyan: Under the campaign named Ek Ped Maa, saplings were planted in school premises, homes, and public places.
• Mother-Student Collaboration: Students planted saplings with their mothers.
• Identification Boards: Each plant had a board attached with the names of the students and their mothers.
• Eco Clubs: Established to promote environmental awareness in schools.
• Environmental Education: Sessions were conducted to inform students about climate change, pollution, and resource depletion.
• Workshops: Provided information on key aspects of environmental protection.
• Waste Management: Taught methods and implemented a waste management system in school premises.
• Water Conservation and Recycling: Organized activities to raise awareness.
• Nature Conservation Day: Special programs were held to explain the importance of July 28.
• Cultural Awareness: Students were educated about the relationship between nature and humanity as described in ancient Indian literature.
