Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Conducts On-Site Inspection in Rain-Affected Maldevta and Kesarwala Areas of Dehradun District

Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday conducted an on-site inspection of the Maldevta and Kesarwala areas in Dehradun district, which were affected by heavy rainfall, to assess the situation on the ground.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed officials to accelerate relief and rescue operations in the affected areas and assured local residents of all possible assistance. He stated that the excessive rainfall had caused significant damage to roads, bridges, and government properties across various regions of the state, impacting the daily lives of the general public.

He instructed that blocked routes be cleared at the earliest and that safe drinking water and electricity supply be restored immediately. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government and administrative teams remain actively present in the field, and all departments are coordinating to carry out relief, rescue, and rehabilitation work efficiently.

Noting the rising water levels in rivers, he stated that special vigilance is being maintained to handle any potential disaster. The Chief Minister is continuously reviewing the situation at the State Disaster Operation Center and monitoring conditions in various districts while maintaining regular communication with all district magistrates. He directed officials to ensure that the problems of every citizen in the affected areas are addressed on a priority basis.

During the on-site inspection, the Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, and senior officials of the district administration.
