Opportunity to Deliver Justice to the People, Fulfill Responsibility: Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane
Inauguration of Seva Fortnight
Sindhudurgnagari, Sept 2025: “We are servants of the people, and delivering justice to them is our foremost duty. If officers have the will to work, no task is impossible. While working in the administration, it is necessary to maintain a positive outlook and adopt a mindset that finds solutions for public welfare. The opportunity to deliver justice to the people has been given, and this responsibility must be carried out sincerely,” said Guardian Minister Nitesh Rane.
At the inauguration of Seva Fortnight, held on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday (September 17, 2025) through to Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary (October 2, 2025), Minister Rane emphasized that the revenue administration must be more people-centric, efficient, dynamic, and transparent to provide real relief to common citizens.
The event witnessed the presence of District Collector Trupti Dhodmise, Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Khebudkar, District Superintendent of Police Mohan Dahikar, Additional Collector Shubhangi Sathe, Resident Deputy Collector Machhindra Sukate, and other senior officials, along with representatives from cooperative banks and committees.
Rane highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s inspiring journey, saying his unwavering determination has propelled India’s progress. “Every moment of his life has been dedicated to making India a global power. What once seemed impossible has been achieved under his leadership. Thanks to his vision, India stood resilient and self-reliant even after the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
During the event, appointment letters were handed over to 89 health assistants, house keys distributed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, and students were issued caste, nationality, and residence certificates. “The joy on people’s faces is the true reward for our work,” Rane remarked. He urged officers to prioritize zero pendency, resolve issues within deadlines, and ensure that no citizen’s grievance remains pending.
He further announced that funds would be allocated to strengthen CCTV surveillance for public safety and reiterated his commitment to developing Sindhudurg into a progressive district.
District Collector Trupti Dhodmise said that during Seva Fortnight, services for the public would be delivered with greater speed and transparency. An innovative initiative, Shala Tithe Dakhale (Certificates at School), will be introduced to provide students with certificates directly at schools.
CEO Khebudkar detailed the various welfare schemes to be promoted during this period, noting that the longstanding issue of appointing health assistants in the district had been resolved positively under Minister Rane’s guidance.
The program also included the distribution of cheques to women self-help groups under the Rural Livelihood Campaign. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Tehsildar Chaitali Sawant.
