Central Secretariat Service Section Officers Visit Serchhip

Sept 2025 : A group of Section Officers from the Central Secretariat Service, currently undergoing the 145th Level D Training, arrived in Serchhip today. They were welcomed by Serchhip Deputy Commissioner Pu Paul L. Khuma, along with other district officers, during a meeting held this evening at the DC’s Conference Hall.

The officers, who will soon be promoted to the rank of Under Secretary in the Central Secretariat, New Delhi, are in Mizoram as part of their training programme. The officers have been divided into two groups—one stationed in Serchhip District until September 23 and the other group in Champhai District.

During their stay, the visiting officers will study key aspects of governance in Mizoram, including the implementation of central schemes, the coordination between state and district administrations, the impact of government initiatives on citizens, best practises in public service delivery, as well as Mizo culture and history.

At today’s meeting, officials from DRDO, PHE, PWD, DEO, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Industries departments presented briefings on the implementation of various central schemes in Serchhip District. The Section Officers will also visit important locations within Serchhip District, including Thenzawl and East Lungdar, as part of their exposure tour.
