Cleanliness and Tree Plantation Program Held at Barnawapara under Seva Pakhwada

Raipur, Sept 2025 : As per the directions of Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, a cleanliness and tree plantation program was organized at Barnawapara Sanctuary under Seva Pakhwada (September 17 – October 2).

On September 23, under the guidance of Divisional Forest Officer Balodabazar Shri Dhammsheel Ganveer and the leadership of Barnawapara Superintendent Shri Krishanu Chandrakar, a cleanliness drive was carried out. Public representatives and villagers from different villages participated, cleaning the premises together and pledging to maintain a clean environment.

In continuation, a tree plantation program was held at Primary School Akaltara. Teachers, students, the village deputy sarpanch, the president of the Forest Management Committee, and local villagers took part. Fruit-bearing and shade-giving saplings were planted, and participants pledged to take personal responsibility for their care.

The programs were coordinated by Forest Range Officer Shri Gopal Prasad Verma and Trainee Forest Range Officer Shri Rahul Upadhyay. On this occasion, the local community and students conveyed the message of promoting cleanliness and greenery.
