Guardian Minister Meghna Bordikar reviews natural disaster situation in Selu and Jintur
Directs speedy damage assessment; calls for road repairs, smooth power supply, and vigilance to prevent future disasters
Parbhani, Sept 2025: In the wake of heavy rainfall, Guardian Minister Meghna Sakore-Bordikar today conducted detailed meetings in Selu and Jintur to review the natural disaster situation. She directed officials to carry out rapid damage assessments and ensure timely relief. Along with addressing farmers’ concerns, she instructed that road repairs and electricity supply be restored promptly and emphasized the need for vigilance to protect public health.

The meeting in Selu was attended by District Council CEO Natisha Mathur, Subdivisional Officer Shailesh Lahoti, Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, and heads and staff from relevant departments. Continuous heavy rains over the past several days have caused extensive damage to crops, agriculture, homes, and public infrastructure in Selu taluka. The Guardian Minister instructed officials to complete all damage assessments without delay and ensure that relief reaches affected people as quickly as possible. She also inquired about crop insurance, directed rapid road repairs, and instructed officials to restore disrupted electricity supply immediately.
Minister Bordikar assured that all farmer-related issues would be resolved and necessary assistance would be provided promptly. “I am committed to ensuring that farmers and citizens receive compensation for the losses they have suffered as soon as possible,” she said.
During the meeting in Jintur, the Guardian Minister conducted a detailed review of the damage in Jintur taluka and directed immediate measures to provide relief to farmers and citizens. She instructed officials to swiftly complete damage assessments for crops and livestock, expedite repair work for roads and bridges, and restore electricity supply. She also emphasized that all agencies must remain vigilant to prevent future disasters.
The meeting in Jintur was attended by Subdivisional Officer Shailesh Lahoti, Tehsildar Mr. Sarvade, and taluka-level officials from various departments.
