State Administrative Service Officers Play a Crucial Role in Resolving Public Issues – Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today met with trainee officers of the State Administrative Service at his residence office in Raipur. The delegation included 13 officers from the 2024 batch and one officer from the 2021 batch.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister said that State Administrative Service officers form the backbone of administration, and they play a vital role in addressing people’s problems. Along with their administrative duties, he urged them to remain socially conscious as enlightened citizens and contribute to the creation of a better society. He extended best wishes to all officers for successfully fulfilling their official responsibilities.

Director of Chhattisgarh Administration Academy, T.C. Mahawar, informed the Chief Minister that the induction course for these officers, which began on April 7, 2025, is now concluding. The officers will soon take up postings as Deputy Collectors in various districts, where they will gain practical experience in different departments of governance.

The Chief Minister also inquired about the officers’ training experiences, reminding them that it is a privilege to serve the people as members of the State Administrative Service—a responsibility not given to everyone. He advised them to discharge their administrative duties with dedication, sincerity, and commitment.

Highlighting the role of administrators, he said that while governments make policies for public welfare, implementation rests with administrative officers. He noted that Chhattisgarh is a resource-rich state with abundant minerals, forests, fertile soil, and a strong power sector. Although Naxalism had long been an obstacle to progress, it is now on its last legs, with security forces confronting it resolutely.

The Chief Minister added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have resolved to eliminate the Naxal problem by March 31, 2026. Once achieved, Chhattisgarh will witness even faster development, and the responsibility of State Administrative Service officers will grow further, particularly in uplifting tribal communities.

He emphasized that transparency in governance is a priority. Chhattisgarh is the first state to establish a Department of Good Governance and Convergence and has also implemented the e-office system. The state’s new industrial policy is attracting investors, with investment proposals worth ₹7.5 lakh crore already received. Officers, he said, will play a key role in making Chhattisgarh a leading state.

Discussing revenue administration, he noted that revenue cases are directly linked to people’s lives and that even small initiatives by officers can provide significant relief. The government is working for time-bound resolution of revenue matters, simplifying procedures through digitization and online systems.

Also present at the meeting were Pranav Singh, Joint Director of Chhattisgarh Administration Academy, along with the trainee officers of the State Administrative Service.
