Keitum Pilot Village Hosts Aadi Karmayog Village-Level Training cum Workshop
Serchhip, Sept 2025: A Village-Level Training cum Workshop under the Aadi Karmayog initiative was conducted at the pilot village Keitum, organized by the BMT Serchhip RD Block.
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs had launched the Aadi Karmayogi Campaign to ensure effective participation of tribal communities in development programs. This campaign aims to engage and train at least 20 motivated women from the tribal areas to take an active role in community development.
During the training, Vanlalruata Tochhawng from BMT highlighted the objectives and scope of the program. R. Lalhmunmawia explained the use of PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) activities for planning and documentation. Joseph Lalmuanpuia guided participants on conducting priority list activities and proper record-keeping.
The workshop was facilitated by Samuel Lallawmzuala from BMT, with participation from village nodal persons, various NGOs, and local residents. Discussions also focused on preparing village action plans to guide future development initiatives. Lalawmpuia from BMT concluded the session with closing remarks.
