Animals and Birds are Integral Part of Our Ecology: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that animals and birds are not just attractions in zoos but an integral part of our ecology. It is the duty of every citizen to be sensitive towards them. He appealed to the public to show love and compassion towards birds and animals, adding that human sensitivity is what helps maintain balance between nature and society. CM Dr. Yadav visited the Indore Zoo on Monday morning, where his affection for animals and birds was clearly visible. He observed the wildlife and lovingly engaged with the colorful birds.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is continually becoming richer in terms of its wildlife wealth. After the arrival of cheetahs in Kuno, Sheopur, the Indore Zoo has now received two pairs of bison from Shimoga Zoo. On the arrival of these new members, he congratulated the people of Indore, stating that building a connection with animals brings us closer to nature. Protecting and nurturing them is a shared responsibility of society. He also mentioned that the favorable environment of Madhya Pradesh is helping wild animals to reproduce.

CM Dr. Yadav highlighted that the zebras previously brought to Indore Zoo were cared for so well that they successfully reproduced. He also announced that the zoo will be receiving more exciting additions in the coming days. During his visit, he observed the “Bird Park,” enclosures of bison and ostriches, and the snake aquarium where he saw a king cobra, while also gathering information about various species.

Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav shared that under the Tiger Breeding and Exchange Program, Indore Zoo has received four wild bison, named Rudra, Tulsi, Kalki and Tapti, from Shimoga Zoo, in exchange for one tiger sent from Indore. Along with the bison, the zoo has also received two pairs of ostriches. In total, eight new exotic animals have recently joined the Indore Zoo family. He further added that this is a matter of pride not just for Indore but for the entire state. Very soon, Central India’s most attractive aquarium will also be established here.

The event was attended by Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silawat, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh, Collector Shivam Verma, Municipal Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav, MLAs Ramesh Mendola, Mahendra Hardia, Madhu Verma, Golu Shukla, Sumit Mishra, Additional Commissioner Rohit Sisonia, MIC member Nandkishore Pahadiya, Indore Zoo In-charge Dr. Uttam Yadav, along with several officers and public representatives.
