Assistive Devices to be Distributed to Senior Citizens on International Day of Older Persons under Saksham Jaipur Abhiyan

On International Day of Older Persons, senior citizens to receive assistive devices – Special camp to be organized on Wednesday under Saksham Jaipur Abhiyan – Event to be held at Social Justice Complex, Jamdoli – District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni issued instructions to officials – Directions given to benefit maximum number of senior citizens in the program

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : As per the vision of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, on Wednesday, 01 October 2025, on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, assistive devices will be distributed to senior citizens.

In compliance with the instructions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, a special camp will be organized under Saksham Jaipur Abhiyan at the Social Justice Complex, Jamdoli, Jaipur on Wednesday.

Joint Director of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Shri B.P. Chandel, informed that under the Rashtriya Vayoshree Yojana, senior citizens are being provided with various assistive devices (wheelchairs, walking sticks, lumbar and knee belts, cervical collars, crutches, walkers, tripods, hearing aids) to make their lives easier and safer under the Saksham Jaipur Abhiyan.

Shri B.P. Chandel further informed that in the first phase of the campaign, from 08 August to 23 September 2025, identification camps were organized in Panchayat Samitis and urban local bodies, in which senior citizens participated actively.

He said that in the second phase of the campaign, on 01 October, on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, the registered senior citizens will be provided with assistive devices through the camp organized at the Social Justice Complex, Jamdoli.

District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni has directed officials to distribute assistive devices to as many senior citizens as possible in the camp and ensure maximum benefit. He also appealed to senior citizens to participate in large numbers, take advantage of this opportunity, and make their lives more convenient.
