Lucknow, Oct 2025: The Yogi government is running the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign across Uttar Pradesh to make women and girls self-reliant, independent, and ensure a safe environment for them. Under this initiative, the “Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad – Dialogue Towards Empowerment” has been launched in Devi Patan division for the overall development of women and girls and for the quick resolution of their issues. The program was inaugurated on Ram Navami with a dialogue session with daughters. Now, every Monday, special hearings will be held at the divisional office, dedicated exclusively to women and girls.

A special team of women officers has been formed to address issues on a priority basis. CM Yogi Adityanath has praised this unique effort. Notably, Devi Patan is the first division in the state to organize such a special grievance redressal program for women. On Ram Navami, the Divisional Commissioner and his wife also performed Kanya Pujan (ritual honouring of young girls) at their residence.

Program in Three Parts:

  1. Public Hearing: Every Monday from 12 pm to 2 pm, women officers and staff will hear complaints of women and girls. Cases will be examined promptly, and necessary actions—including field inspections and help desks—will be arranged. Complaints will also be accepted via phone and WhatsApp.
  2. Recognition: Women and girls giving the best feedback on the Viksit Uttar Pradesh–2047 themes and 12 sectors will be awarded at the divisional level. Women excelling in identified sectors will be honoured as brand ambassadors of Viksit Devi Patan–2047.
  3. Empowerment: Recognised women will contribute to awareness and empowerment programs across the division. Eligible women and girls will be linked to government schemes for skill development, self-help groups, poverty eradication, and entrepreneurship initiatives.

Program Launch:
The initiative was formally launched on Ram Navami, with over 20 students from different schools participating. They shared ideas on women’s empowerment, equal education opportunities, technical skills, career guidance centres in rural areas, and talent promotion schemes for girls. The Divisional Commissioner and officials applauded their suggestions.

Awards were given to students with the best ideas. Nandini (SCPM College) received the first prize of ₹5,000, Akanksha Dwivedi (Sri Gandhi Inter College) received the second prize of ₹3,000, and Rupa, Mehak, and Hunaiza received third prizes of ₹2,000 each. All participants were given consolation prizes of ₹1,000 each by the Aakanksha Committee.

Special Highlight:
During the program, the Divisional Commissioner and his wife performed Kanya Pujan, washing the feet of the girls and giving them gifts. He stated, “Navratri is the festival of Shakti Sadhana, and respecting daughters is the greatest form of worship. Today’s daughters are excelling in education, sports, administration, science, and defence, proving that they are second to none.”
