CM Yogi reflects on his political journey in Assembly

Lucknow : During the monsoon session of the Vidhan Sabha on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a moment to reflect on his political journey, sharing insights about his motivations and the challenges he faces in public service.

Addressing the House, CM Yogi said, “I have not come here to do a job,” emphasizing that his entry into politics was driven by a purpose beyond personal ambition or prestige. He highlighted that his primary focus is on serving the public, regardless of the obstacles he faces.

During his speech on the supplementary budget, CM Yogi sharply criticized the opposition, including the Samajwadi Party (SP), for neglecting public service and security. He said that the biggest duty in politics is the service and protection of the public.

The CM specified that his fight is against those who jeopardize the future of the state’s youth, undermine the security of women and businesses, and create difficulties for the common man through spreading anarchy. He said, “Whoever engages in such activities will also face consequences.”

“This is not our normal fight, nor is it a fight for prestige. If I had to gain prestige, I would have got more prestige in my monastery,” Yogi mentioned.

Speaking of bulldozers, he clarified that they are not meant for the innocent but for criminals, who should indeed be fearful of them.
