‘Artificial Intelligence’ and ‘Agriculture’ Moving Toward a New Era of Transformation – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

CM inaugurates the ‘HP Dreams Unlocked’ Festival

Mumbai, Oct 2025 : “This is the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through this technology, we can create literacy and equality in society. Technology, digitization, and artificial intelligence know no geographical boundaries — they do not discriminate between rich and poor, caste, or language. That is why this technology has the power to shape the ideas and dreams of every Indian,” said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the ‘HP Dreams Unlocked’ festival, jointly organized by HP and Intel at Mehboob Studio, Bandra.

The event was attended by Ipsita Dasgupta, Managing Director of HP India; Kaustubh Dhavse, Advisor to the Chief Minister; Akash Bhatia, Head of Marketing; Raju Nair, Head of Legal and Government Affairs; and several other dignitaries.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the government has now initiated a policy to adopt AI (Artificial Intelligence). “This technology is open to everyone and enables individuals to turn their ideas into reality. The state government has already collaborated with HP to set up a Digital Media Centre of Excellence, and now we plan to go further by developing a partnership framework to ensure easy access to emerging technologies — especially AI — for the common people,” he said.

He added that AI is also being introduced in the agricultural sector. At the Agri-Hackathon held in Pune, young innovators created AI-based models capable of analyzing air components to predict and alert farmers about possible pest infestations. Calling it a “game-changer”, Fadnavis said that such innovations will significantly benefit the farming community.

The Chief Minister emphasized that technological interventions like AI will help farmers prevent crop losses, reduce costs, and increase profitability. He noted that technologies such as AI, blockchain, and digitization have enhanced transparency and efficiency not only in industries but also within the system of governance.

Nearly 40,000 youth from across the country participated in the ‘HP Dreams Unlocked’ festival, and 40 of the best innovative ideas and initiatives were recognized for their potential to make a tangible impact on society and the economy.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that the government is ready to collaborate with such initiatives to improve citizens’ quality of life and to ensure that technology becomes a driving force for inclusive growth and empowerment.
