Big Diwali Gift for Sugarcane Farmers through Deputy CM Vijay Sharma’s Efforts

Raipur, Oct 2025 : Thanks to the persistent efforts and farmer-friendly approach of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, sugarcane farmers of the Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory, Kawardha have received a major economic benefit on the occasion of Diwali. The factory management has distributed a bonus of ₹11.09 crore to farmers who supplied sugarcane during the last crushing season. This bonus payment has been made possible through the special initiative and efforts of Deputy CM Vijay Sharma. Under his leadership, priority has been given to ensuring timely payments and bonus disbursements for the welfare of farmers.

During the 2024–25 crushing season, the Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory made full payments amounting to ₹115.44 crore for the sugarcane purchased from farmers, achieving the leading position among all sugar mills in the state. This accomplishment reflects the factory’s transparent working system, efficient management, and strong spirit of cooperation.

Receiving the bonus ahead of Diwali has created an atmosphere of joy and enthusiasm among the farming community across the district. The payment of this bonus will not only strengthen the farmers’ economic condition but also enhance their trust and confidence in the government’s commitment to their welfare.
