‘Diwali Pahat’ Musical Programmes in Mumbai: Grand Performances at Dadar on Oct 21 and Mulund on Oct 22
Mumbai, Oct 2025 : The Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Mumbai, under the Department of Cultural Affairs, has organized this year’s ‘Diwali Pahat’ musical programmes at ten locations across Maharashtra and also in New Delhi.

The initiative, conceptualized by Minister for Cultural Affairs Adv. Ashish Shelar and guided by Department Secretary Dr. Kiran Kulkarni (IAS), aims to celebrate the festive spirit of Diwali through music and culture.
As part of this series, grand ‘Diwali Pahat’ events will be held at the Swatantryaveer Savarkar National Memorial, Shivaji Park, Dadar, Mumbai, and at the Kalidas Natyagruha, Mulund.
At the Savarkar Memorial, Dadar, on October 21 at 6:30 a.m., audiences will enjoy a vibrant musical presentation titled ‘Diwali Pahat Triveni Sangam’, featuring timeless film and devotional songs penned by renowned lyricists Jagdish Khebudkar, G.D. Madgulkar, and Mangesh Padgaonkar.
The programme will feature acclaimed singers Dattatray Mestri, Abhishek Nalawade, Shalmali Sukhtankar, and Sonali Karnik, with narration by Amit Kakade.
At the Kalidas Natyagruha, Mulund, on October 22 at 6:30 a.m., the ‘Deep Utsav Diwali Pahat’ programme will present popular songs of Asha Bhosle and Sudhir Phadke. The performances will feature noted singers Ajit Parab, Abhishek Nalawade, Shalmali Sukhtankar, and Prajkta Sataardekar.
The narration will be by Milind Kulkarni, with musical arrangement by Deepak Kumthekar and Amit Gothivarekar.
All programmes are open to the public and free of charge, the Directorate of Cultural Affairs has announced. Director Vibhishan Chavare has urged music lovers to attend in large numbers and enjoy this festive musical feast.
