“Arunachal CM Seeks Central Aid for 4G Expansion, Healthcare Boost”
Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has requested the Centre’s support for the saturation of 4G towers to ensure seamless connectivity and enhance health infrastructure for quality healthcare across the state. Accompanied by state Health Minister Biyuram Wahge and Arunachal East MP Tapir Gao, Khandu met Union Health Minister J P Nadda in New Delhi on Thursday to discuss these vital needs.
In a social media post, Khandu shared, “We discussed and sought crucial support for improving health infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh, focusing on last-mile connectivity and ensuring quality healthcare for all.” Earlier that day, Khandu and his deputy Chowna Mein met Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M Scindia. They requested the saturation of 4G towers to strengthen network connectivity, especially in border regions, and invited the Minister to visit Arunachal Pradesh.
Union Minister Scindia expressed his delight at meeting Khandu and Mein, noting their detailed discussion on potential development projects to bolster the state’s position as a ‘Gateway of Development’. Khandu highlighted the importance of seamless connectivity and how it aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission of making a self-reliant Viksit Bharat.
