Tejashwi Yadav Promises Permanent Jobs for Contract Employees and Jeevika Didis in Bihar

RJD Leader Unveils Welfare Schemes Focused on Job Security, Women Empowerment, and Family Stability Ahead of Bihar Elections

Patna, Oct 2025 : RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav made a significant election promise on Wednesday, stating that if the Grand Alliance government is formed after November 14, all contract employees and Jeevika Didis in Bihar will be granted permanent government jobs. Addressing a press conference at his official residence in Patna, he criticized the NDA government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing it of widespread corruption and exploitation of contract staff.

Tejashwi Yadav highlighted that many government departments make large payments to outsourcing companies, but employees receive only a fraction of the sanctioned amounts. The remainder, he claimed, is siphoned off as commissions to ministers, senior officials, and other decision-makers. He added that contract employees often work for less than half of their entitled salary and face constant job insecurity, with the threat of sudden termination.

The RJD leader assured that if his government comes to power, all contract employees would be regularized and provided full job security. Drawing on his previous experience, he noted that during the 17-month Mahagathbandhan government, contract teachers were regularized despite skepticism from opponents, proving that it was possible to secure jobs for contractual staff. He emphasized that similar measures would be extended to contract employees in agencies like Beltron.

Tejashwi Yadav also announced two new welfare schemes aimed at enhancing social security and women empowerment. The “Maa Yojana” focuses on providing housing, food, and income security for families, while the “Beti Yojana” seeks to ensure benefits, education, training, and income opportunities for girls. These initiatives are designed to provide every family with a roof over their head, food security, a stable income, and economic independence for daughters.

Reiterating his commitment to social welfare, Tejashwi Yadav pledged that under his leadership, every family in Bihar would have access to government employment. He emphasized a governance model based on job security, empowerment of women, and corruption-free administration, aiming to deliver dignity, stability, and prosperity to every household in the state.

The announcement reinforces Tejashwi Yadav’s focus on addressing long-standing issues faced by contract workers while highlighting his broader vision for inclusive growth and social welfare in Bihar.
