Development Works to Incorporate Suggestions from Devotees, Locals, Stakeholders, and Public Representatives — Deputy CM Diya Kumari

Jaipur, Oct 2025:A review meeting on the ongoing development of the Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Corridor (Sikar) under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme was held on Tuesday at the Tourism Bhawan in Jaipur. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, in the presence of Principal Secretary, Tourism Department, Shri Rajesh Yadav, Additional District Collector, Sikar, and officials from Public Works Department, RSRDC, PDCORE, along with local public representatives.

Deputy CM Diya Kumari said that the holy city of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji attracts the highest number of tourists in Rajasthan. While this is a matter of pride and joy, it also brings significant responsibility. The Government of Rajasthan, along with the Government of India, is committed to ensuring that tourists enjoy a seamless, grand, and modern experience during their visit to the shrine.

She informed that the review meeting focused on the ongoing tourism development works being undertaken by the Tourism Department under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 initiative. Detailed discussions were held on traffic management, encroachment removal, parking arrangements, and the facilities for devotees.

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that development works will be more effective when planned with the suggestions and feedback of devotees, local residents, stakeholders, and public representatives. To ensure this, a committee comprising representatives from all stakeholder groups has been formed. The committee will provide inputs for improving road connectivity, parking facilities, traffic flow, and encroachment removal at the entry and exit points of the temple area, as well as for developing additional tourist amenities.

Diya Kumari added that based on the recommendations of this committee, the government will plan and execute development works focusing on the comfort and convenience of devotees. She also mentioned that if necessary, the state government may allocate funds for these projects in the upcoming Rajasthan budget.
