Owaisi Intensifies Bihar Campaign, Targets NDA and Grand Alliance for ‘Neglecting Muslims’
Patna, Oct 2025 : All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi intensified his campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections on Tuesday, addressing large public meetings in Dhaka (East Champaran) and Munger.
In Dhaka, Owaisi sought support for Rana Ranjit Singh, the party’s candidate, while in Munger he campaigned for Monazir Hassan. The Hyderabad MP used both platforms to launch sharp attacks on the ruling NDA and the opposition Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), accusing them of consistently neglecting Bihar’s Muslim community.
Owaisi said Bihar must be “freed from 15 years of Tejashwi’s jungle raj and 20 years of Nitish Kumar’s jungle raj,” arguing that both alliances have failed to bring genuine change to the state.
Taking aim at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, he questioned the political representation of Muslims in Bihar. “A son of the Mallah community, which comprises just three per cent of the population, can become Deputy Chief Minister, and a son of a 14 per cent community can become Chief Minister. But Muslims, who make up 17 per cent of the population, are denied both positions. This isn’t social justice — it’s political discrimination,” Owaisi said to loud applause from the crowd.
The AIMIM leader also criticised the BJP-led government at the Centre over the National Register of Citizens (NRC). “After the NRC, only two infiltrators have been identified. Amit Shah and PM Modi say infiltrators have entered Bihar — so where are they? If they’re calling them rats, let me tell them that Owaisi doesn’t hunt rats,” he said, sparking laughter among supporters.
Addressing a massive rally at Charwaha Vidyalaya grounds in Munger, Owaisi continued his scathing criticism of both the ruling and opposition parties, accusing them of engaging in “politics of convenience”.
He remarked, “Nitish’s heart beats for Rajgir, Lalu and Rabri’s hearts beat for Tejashwi, and PM Modi’s heart beats for Ahmedabad.”
Challenging the RJD, he asked, “How long will you keep scaring Muslims in the name of the BJP?”
Concluding his address, Owaisi said that both Lalu Prasad Yadav’s and Nitish Kumar’s regimes had become symbols of “jungle raj”, claiming that Bihar continues to suffer from lawlessness, unemployment, and neglect under their rule.
