Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Calls for Honest and Transparent Politics at Patna Sahib Rally
Patna, Oct 2025 — Amid the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed a massive public rally in Patna Sahib on Wednesday, calling for a new era of politics driven by honesty, transparency, and public service.
“Bihar’s development is only possible when the people empower honest politics,” Gupta declared, drawing enthusiastic applause from the large gathering.
In a sharp attack on the central and state governments, Gupta accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies of offering little more than promises over the past decade. “Prime Minister Modi and his party have only given empty assurances to Bihar in the last 10 years. There are still serious problems in education, employment, and healthcare. Development cannot thrive on slogans alone,” she said.
Gupta contrasted this with what she described as the “Delhi model” of governance, urging Biharis to replicate the same framework of people-centric development. “In Delhi, we transformed government schools into the best in the country, ensured healthcare access through Mohalla Clinics, and provided free electricity and water. That is what real development looks like — progress that reaches every home,” she said.
Highlighting the persistent issue of youth migration, Gupta expressed concern that Bihar’s talent continues to leave the state in search of employment. “Bihar has abundant resources and manpower, but what it lacks is honest and visionary governance. If the people of Bihar decide to bring change, the state can emerge as one of India’s leading regions,” she asserted.
Appealing to voters, Gupta urged them to support leaders who are visible and active among the people year-round. “We believe in politics that eases people’s lives, not politics that wins applause with empty speeches,” she said.
The rally witnessed spirited participation, with local party workers raising slogans such as “Imandar Rajniti, Sachha Vikas” (Honest Politics, True Development) and “Badlav ki Lehar, Bihar Mein” (A Wave of Change in Bihar). The party’s Bihar in-charge and local leaders stood alongside Chief Minister Gupta, reiterating their shared commitment to clean governance and people-oriented politics.
Outlining her vision for Bihar, Gupta emphasized the need for comprehensive reforms in education, healthcare, and women’s safety. She also announced that the party would soon launch a “Jan Samvad Yatra” — a statewide public outreach initiative aimed at engaging directly with citizens and addressing their concerns at the grassroots level.
Political observers believe that Rekha Gupta’s visit has injected fresh energy into her party’s Bihar campaign. Her message of honest governance and inclusive development is expected to resonate strongly, especially among the urban and educated electorate of Patna Sahib and neighboring constituencies.
