Rajasthan Sets New Benchmarks in Good Governance Under CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Rajasthan has established new benchmarks in good governance, public welfare, and a results-oriented work culture. Due to the state government’s effective implementation of welfare policies and schemes, Rajasthan secured first place in 11 national programmes and schemes during 2024–25, earning recognition among the top-performing states in the country.
Rajasthan Leading Nationally in Health and Welfare
Rajasthan ranked first nationally in organizing International Yoga Day 2025. According to the Ministry of AYUSH’s “Yoga Sangam Portal,” the state held events at 62,915 locations with 85,31,185 participants.
The state also received a national award for promoting organ donation and organ transplantation, emerging as the leading state in 2025.
In September 2025, Rajasthan secured the top position in the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana rankings. The state also ranked first in activities held at Anganwadi centres during Poshan Pakhwada 2025.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Kharif 2025), Rajasthan issued 2.18 crore policies, the highest in India.
The Farmer Registry Scheme, driving digital transformation in agriculture, earned Rajasthan first place for creating the highest percentage of PM-Kisan beneficiary IDs.
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), Rajasthan secured the top position for transforming sanitation units during the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2025.
The state also ranked first nationally under the PM-KUSUM Scheme Component-A for renewable and solar energy capacity installation.
In Fit India Freedom Run 2024, Rajasthan organized 6,202 out of 10,443 events, earning first place. The state also topped in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by organizing 11,209 camps and issuing 5.94 lakh LPG connections under the Ujjwala Yojana.
Second and Third National Rankings
Rajasthan secured second place in:
- PM Vishwakarma Yojana (loan sanction & distribution)
- Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 (registered volunteers & media uploads)
- PMKSY “Per Drop More Crop” (1.31 lakh hectares under micro-irrigation)
- Poshan Maah 2025 activities
- National e-Governance Silver Award for digital transformation in agriculture
The state secured third place nationally in several programmes, including:
- PM-KUSUM components B & C (FLS)
- TB-Mukt Gram Panchayat Campaign
- 100-day ACSM campaign activities
- Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 2.0
- National Programme for Palliative Care
- Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) claim settlement & hospital empanelment
- One District One Product (ODOP) implementation
- Jal Sanchay Janbhagidari 1.0 (Panchayati Raj)
Best Performer in Logistics & Tribal Welfare
Rajasthan was awarded Best Performer State (2024) in the central government’s LEADS Report for logistics ecosystem development and efficiency improvement.
The state also earned the Best Performing State Award for notable progress in tribal welfare, empowerment, and inclusive development under the Dharati Aba Janbhagidari Campaign.
Overall, under CM Sharma’s leadership, Rajasthan has emerged as one of India’s top states in governance, welfare implementation, and sectoral performance across multiple national indicators.
