‘C-IIIT’ Approved for Nashik and Amravati Districts

Positive Response from Tata Technologies to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s Initiative

Mumbai, Nov 2025 : Thanks to the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister and Finance & Planning Minister Ajit Pawar, the districts of Nashik and Amravati have now been approved to receive one ‘Centre for Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT)’ — popularly known as a ‘C-Triple-I-T’ — each. This marks a significant step in Maharashtra’s efforts to remain at the forefront of industry and skill development.

A few days ago, Deputy CM Pawar had written to Tata Technologies, urging the company to collaborate in setting up C-Triple-I-T centres in Nashik and Amravati. Responding positively, Tata Technologies has officially approved the establishment of these centres in both districts.

The new C-Triple-I-T centres will provide world-class training to local youth. This decision will open doors for young people in both North Maharashtra (Nashik) and Vidarbha (Amravati) to receive globally benchmarked industrial training. Additionally, opportunities for skills and specialised training in artificial intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge technologies will now be available within their own districts.

These centres will ensure easy access to skilled manpower for local industries, boost emerging enterprises, and create new avenues for both self-employment and job opportunities. They will pave the way for trained, technically proficient youth to contribute to industrial growth, encourage new ventures, strengthen the local economy, and offer young people the chance to master global-standard technologies.

The establishment of these centres is a major step in equipping Maharashtra’s youth with employable skills and strengthening the ‘Make in Maharashtra’ initiative. Deputy CM Pawar has envisioned transforming the state’s industrial districts into hubs of skill development, and this decision marks a decisive step toward that goal.

Students and industry professionals will receive hands-on training in modern technologies through these centres. Training will be provided in advanced fields such as robotics, the Internet of Things (IoT), data analytics, electric vehicle technology, and automation.

The C-Triple-I-T centres approved for Nashik and Amravati under Ajit Pawar’s leadership will serve as a significant milestone for the state’s industrial and skill-development landscape. Through this initiative, Maharashtra has taken another major stride toward building a “Skilled Maharashtra.”
