Chhattisgarh to Witness Indian Air Force’s Aerial Bravery on November 5

On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh’s statehood, the skies over the capital, Nawa Raipur, will witness the strength and glory of the Indian Air Force on 5 November. The Indian Air Force’s renowned Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) will fill the sky of Nawa Raipur with breathtaking aerial maneuvers, showcasing patriotism, thrill and national pride. This performance will be one of the main attractions of the Silver Jubilee celebrations.

A Sky Full of Indian Bravery

On 5 November, the sky above Nawa Raipur will be infused with colours of pride, excitement and patriotism. This “Flight of Valour,” held to mark the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh, will deepen the respect and admiration of every citizen for the Indian Air Force. The aerobatic show, organized to celebrate 25 years of the state’s formation, will symbolize Chhattisgarh’s rising progress and confidence.

When globally renowned formations such as Bomb Burst, Heart-in-the-Sky, and Arrowhead take shape in the sky, the entire atmosphere will resonate with India’s bravery and technical mastery. The event will also inspire discipline, teamwork and national pride among the youth of Chhattisgarh. Preparations are in the final stages through joint efforts of the state government and the Indian Air Force.

Public Participation to Elevate the Celebration

Thousands of citizens, students and families from Raipur and nearby districts will witness this aerobatic show. This will not just be an event—it will symbolize the “Flight of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).” The Suryakiran team’s performance stands as proof that when skill, dedication and technology soar together, even the sky bows down.

Glorious Legacy of the Indian Air Force

Formed in 1996, the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team is a remarkable example of precision and coordination within the Indian Air Force. It is the only nine-aircraft aerobatic display team in Asia, with the aircraft flying barely five meters apart. The team showcases India’s technical capability, discipline and courage.

They began with the HJT-16 Kiran Mk-II aircraft and, in 2015, transitioned to the indigenous HAL Hawk Mk-132 Advanced Jet Trainer, marking a new era. Today, the Suryakiran team stands as a symbol of inspiration for the youth.

Over 700 Performances, Carrying India’s Pride Worldwide

To date, the Suryakiran team has performed more than 700 national and international displays, enhancing India’s global reputation in countries such as Sri Lanka, UAE, Singapore, the UK and Thailand. In 2023, the team performed a spectacular show at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the Cricket World Cup, blending sport with national pride.

“It is a moment of pride for Chhattisgarh that the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team of the Indian Air Force will be part of our Silver Jubilee celebrations. This show will symbolize Chhattisgarh’s rise, confidence and national pride. I urge all citizens to witness this historic moment and salute the courage, precision and dedication of our brave air warriors.”
