Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s Election Campaign Tour in Bihar: Offers Prayers at Patna Sahib Gurudwara on the occasion of Gurupurab.
“Bihar Is Moving from Jungle Raj to the Politics of Development”
New Delhi, Nov 2025 : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta started her campaign day in Bihar by paying homage at Takht Sri Harmandir Ji, Patna Sahib, offering prayers for the progress and prosperity of Bihar and the nation. Speaking at the Gurudwara, she said, “I feel blessed to seek the blessings of Guru Maharaj ji on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab at the holy Patna Sahib Gurudwara. The rich cultural heritage of Bihar, land inspire us all.”
The Chief Minister later held roadshows and public meetings in Arwal, Gaya City, and Aurangabad assembly constituencies. The public charged the atmosphere with spirited chants of “Bihar pakad chuka hai raftaar, janta maange phir se NDA sarkar.” She was accompanied by several senior leaders and local party workers.
Launching a sharp attack on the opposition parties, and responding to recent remarks by the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, the Chief Minister said, “These are the same parties that have indulged in caste-based politics for years, and now they are dragging the army into this quagmire. It’s truly shameful. Those who can defame the nation abroad, question the integrity of our armed forces, compromise national security, or even deny the existence of Lord Ram, I’d simply say they don’t need a full pond of water; a handful is enough for them to drown in.”
She also took a jibe at the RJD, saying, “RJD walon ke baare mein sab kehte hain, aisa koi ‘saga’ nahin, jise inhone ‘thaga’ nahin.” The Chief Minister remarked that those who once consumed fodder meant for cattle are now trying to feed the people with lies and false promises. But the people of Bihar, she said, are wise and will no longer fall into their trap.
Recalling the “Jungle Raj” era, Rekha Gupta said that Bihar once suffered from darkness, lawlessness, and corruption under the lantern regime. She asserted that the NDA government has given Bihar a new direction through better law and order and accelerated development.
The Chief Minister concluded that the people of Bihar have seen through the politics of casteism, dynasty, and corruption, and are now choosing development and good governance. She emphasised that her party is committed to ushering in a new era of politics in Bihar, one focused on education, healthcare, employment, and infrastructure.
