Special Events Held Across Rajasthan on Birsa Munda Jayanti

Special seminars organized on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti – Various activities underway under Tribal Pride Year – Toy-making workshop held at Bassi Panchayat Samiti – Floral tributes paid to Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Mada region gram sabhas – Oath taken to imbibe Birsa Munda’s ideals and contributions

Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Under the leadership and guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, various events and activities are being organized across the state on the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti as part of the ongoing Tribal Pride Year. As per the directions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, a toy-making workshop was organized on Thursday at Bassi Panchayat Samiti with an aim to connect rural women with self-employment and innovation. Trainers introduced a large number of participants to the detailed process of making toys.

As part of the programme, special seminars were also organized in gram sabhas of village panchayats in the Mada region. A large number of participants paid floral tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda and took an oath to imbibe his personality, ideals, and contributions in their lives.

Chief Executive Officer Smt. Pratibha Verma informed that from 1st to 15th November 2025, a series of diverse events is being held across the state under the Tribal Pride Year. The state government aims to spread awareness about Birsa Munda’s ideals, struggles, and contributions while ensuring that welfare schemes reach the marginalized communities.

Under the upcoming events, a farmers’ seminar will be organized on 7th November where officials from the Agriculture Department will highlight departmental programmes, schemes, and the life of Birsa Munda. On 8th November, the Forest Department will organize awareness programmes to provide information on forest produce, forest wealth, FRA, and lasoda, along with the formation of self-help groups by Rajeevika in respective blocks. On 9th November, speech, essay, and painting competitions based on Bhagwan Birsa Munda will be organized in TAD residential schools and hostels. Various public awareness, cultural, and development-oriented activities will continue until 15th November under the Tribal Pride Year.

CEO Smt. Pratibha Verma added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government is making development a public participation movement. The series of events beginning on Birsa Munda Jayanti is an inspiring initiative to honor the pride, dignity, and culture of the tribal community.
