Priyanka Gandhi Accuses PM Modi and Election Commission of “Vote Theft” in Fiery Bihar Rally
Patna, Nov 2025 : Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra launched a fierce attack on the BJP-led central government and the Election Commission on Saturday, alleging a systematic conspiracy of “vote chori” to undermine democracy. Addressing a massive rally in Bihar’s Purnea district, Priyanka accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top Election Commission officials of attempting to weaken citizens’ constitutional rights through electoral manipulation.

“Narendra Modi, the people of this country have understood you. They are no longer misled by your lies. And because of that, you have now resorted to vote theft,” she declared, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Priyanka alleged that senior officials of the Election Commission were complicit in this alleged wrongdoing.
“The Constitution gives citizens the right to vote, the power to choose their government. But when the BJP realised that the public was turning against them, they began stealing votes. Narendra Modi is a vote thief — and along with him are Gyanesh Kumar, Vivek Joshi, and S.S. Sandhu. These top officials of the Election Commission are playing with the Constitution and democracy,” she said.
“PM’s Language Is Undignified”
Priyanka criticised the Prime Minister’s choice of words during election speeches, saying the tone did not befit the office he holds.
“Gun, kidnapping, murder… this is his style of speaking. Narendra Modi, while holding the position of Prime Minister, speaks the language of bullets, ransom, and extortion. His level has fallen so low,” she alleged.
Attack on Agrarian Policies
Highlighting agrarian distress, Priyanka referred to a tragic incident in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a farmer reportedly died while waiting in a fertiliser queue. She said the BJP government had failed to address the problems faced by farmers, even as they struggled for basic supplies.
“Government for Industrialists, Not the People”
Priyanka accused the Modi government of prioritising industrialists over ordinary citizens.
“Land in Bihar was given to his industrialist friend for just one rupee per acre. If even one acre had been given to a young person, they could have built their future,” she claimed.
She also criticised the Prime Minister for not engaging directly with citizens’ issues.
“Narendra Modi is only seen here during elections. And whenever he comes, he talks about irrelevant issues instead of addressing your problems. In the Congress, I have seen Prime Ministers go among the people, listen to them, and answer questions. Asking questions and raising your voice is our country’s tradition,” she said.
Youth Suffering Due to Paper Leaks
Priyanka strongly condemned the recurring exam paper leaks in Bihar, saying the future of lakhs of young people was being jeopardised.
“The youth of Bihar keep giving exams, but the papers are repeatedly leaked. Their years are wasted waiting for fresh exams and job opportunities. Thousands of government posts are vacant, but the youth are still unemployed,” she said.
Rahul Gandhi’s Yatras Aimed at Protecting Voting Rights
Priyanka referenced her brother Rahul Gandhi’s recent campaigns, saying they were meant to safeguard democratic rights in the face of electoral malpractice.
“After the Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul undertook the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar to protect your right to vote from these vote thieves. Sixty-five lakh names were removed from the voter list because the BJP is afraid of the people. Now the people have awakened and are saying — develop the state or leave power,” she said.
“Mahagathbandhan Will Bring Relief”
Outlining the Opposition alliance’s promises, Priyanka said a vote for the Mahagathbandhan would bring tangible benefits:
“Your vote will reduce inflation, ensure cylinders at ₹500, give land to the landless, deposit ₹2,500 in women’s accounts, provide a pension of ₹1,500 to widows and the elderly, and guarantee a ₹30,000 salary for Jeevika sisters,” she said.
Invoking Bihar’s Legacy
Priyanka concluded by invoking Bihar’s rich cultural and political history.
“Bihar has made a priceless contribution to nation-building. Your ancestors shaped the Ganga-Jamuni culture. The farmers of this land inspired Mahatma Gandhi, who came here and started his Satyagraha from this very soil. The people of Bihar must recognise their strength,” she said.
