CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s Commitment: Ensuring Dignity, Security & Inclusive Growth for Workers
Jaipur, Nov 2025 — Workers form the foundation of any nation’s progress, contributing like true Vishwakarmas to development. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma believes that ensuring workers’ safety and a life of dignity must remain the government’s top priority. Under this commitment, the current state government has provided assistance of over ₹804 crore to more than 7.2 lakh eligible workers in just the past two years. Of this, over ₹555 crore has been transferred directly via DBT to registered construction workers through various state welfare programs.
Under CM Sharma’s leadership, Rajasthan is ensuring smooth implementation of multiple labour welfare schemes. The government not only supports workers but also ensures the dignity and security of their families. From childbirth and education to marriage and medical needs, the state stands with labour families at every stage of life.
Education & Skill Development Benefiting Lakhs of Workers
Under the Construction Workers’ Education & Skill Development Scheme, scholarships are provided to encourage education and skill training for workers’ children. Students from Class 6 onward receive ₹8,000 to ₹25,000, while meritorious students from Class 8 onward receive ₹4,000 to ₹35,000 as additional incentives. In the last two years, over 6.9 lakh workers have received more than ₹743 crore under this scheme.
Empowering Women Workers
Under the Maternity Assistance Scheme, registered women workers or workers’ spouses receive ₹20,000 for the birth of a son and ₹21,000 for a daughter. During the current government’s tenure, over 10,000 labour families have received ₹5.54 crore.
In case of accidental death, injury, or natural death, families receive assistance of up to ₹5 lakh. More than 5,000 families have been provided nearly ₹52.5 crore in the past two years.
Toolkits Provided by the Government
Recognising that tools are essential for workers—whether for fine craftsmanship or large construction—the government provides up to ₹2,000 for purchasing toolkits under a dedicated scheme. Over 13,691 workers have received more than ₹2.73 crore during the current term.
Securing Workers’ Lives and Future
The state government has committed to ensuring long-term security for workers. Under the Construction Workers’ Life & Future Security Scheme, partial or full reimbursement of premiums is provided for:
- Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana
- Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana

Incentives for Success in Administrative Services
To support upward mobility among labour families, incentives are given to children of workers:

In the last two years, 80 candidates have received ₹40 lakh under this scheme. Tuition fee reimbursement is also provided for IIT and IIM admissions. Additionally, the government runs an International Sports Competition Scheme encouraging participation in global events, with incentives such as:
- ₹2 lakh for participation
- ₹5 lakh for bronze
- ₹8 lakh for silver

These initiatives demonstrate unprecedented support for workers at every step of life over the last two years.
