Veteran Actor Dharmendra Discharged from Breach Candy Hospital, Home for Further Treatment

Mumbai, Nov 2025 : Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra, who had been on ventilator support at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, was discharged earlier today and shifted home for further treatment, hospital sources confirmed.

An ambulance was seen leaving Dharmendra’s residence, escorted by family members, though the family has remained tight-lipped about his current health status. The actor’s 89-year-old son, Bobby Deol, was spotted leaving the hospital early Wednesday morning, following the ambulance, and accompanied the vehicle back home. Reports indicate that the Juhu area near Dharmendra’s residence is under heavy police surveillance.

Dharmendra was admitted to the hospital for medical observation and moved to the ICU on November 10. Both his wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, shared that he was stable and recovering. Esha Deol posted, “My father is stable & recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papa’s speedy recovery.”

Hema Malini also addressed the false reports of Dharmendra’s death circulating online, calling them “unforgivable” and “highly irresponsible.” She wrote on social media, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and recovering? This is extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

On November 11, Sunny Deol’s team issued a health update, confirming that the legendary actor was responding well to treatment and recovering steadily. They requested fans and well-wishers to keep him in their prayers for continued health and a long life. “Sir is recovering and responding to treatment. Let’s all pray for his good health and long life,” the statement read.

Dharmendra, widely known for iconic films like Sholay and Chupke Chupke, has been a beloved figure in Indian cinema for decades. Fans across the country have been sending their prayers and best wishes following news of his hospitalization. With his discharge today, the actor will continue his recovery under home care, with his family ensuring privacy and medical supervision.
