US President have Claimed to Have Signed the Bill allowing Epstein Files to be Released.

At about 01:30 Hours IST, US President Donald Trump has claimed to have signed into law a bill requiring the Justice Department to publicly release its case files on Jeffrey Epstein, triggering a 30-day countdown that could lead to one of the most sweeping disclosures of investigative records in modern federal history.

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, the president posted,

Jeffrey Epstein, who was charged by the Trump Justice Department in 2019 (Not the Democrats!), was a lifelong Democrat, donated Thousands of Dollars to Democrat Politicians, and was deeply associated with many well-known Democrat figures, such as Bill Clinton (who traveled on his plane 26 times), Larry Summers (who just resigned from many Boards, including Harvard), Sleazebag Political Activist Reid Hoffman, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (who asked Epstein to donate to his Campaign AFTER Epstein was charged), Democrat Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett, and many more. Perhaps the truth about these Democrats, and their associations with Jeffrey Epstein, will soon be revealed, because I HAVE JUST SIGNED THE BILL TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!”

The legislation requires Attorney General Pam Bondi to release nearly all investigative documents: FBI interview notes, internal Justice Department communications, evidence gathered across multiple probes and materials related to Epstein’s 2019 death in federal custody. Certain material—such as victims’ identities, child sexual abuse images and classified national-security information, will remain protected under the law.

But the bill explicitly bars officials from withholding or redacting information “on the basis of embarrassment, reputational harm or political sensitivity”, including regarding public officials or foreign dignitaries.

Bondi, however, sidestepped questions Wednesday about how the Justice Department will carry out the release. Pressed at a news conference about what would be published, she repeated that the department would “continue to follow the law with maximum transparency” but declined to specify when additional files would appear or whether any materials could be withheld under a new investigation opened by the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan.

Bondi recently directed U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to investigate Epstein’s ties to Trump’s political foes, an order issued after Trump personally demanded the review. That move raised eyebrows, coming just weeks after a July FBI memo concluded investigators found no evidence “that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”, Bondi said the new probe was prompted by “new information”, but she would not elaborate.

Epstein’s “black book” of contacts first surfaced in 2009 when his butler attempted to sell it to lawyers. The FBI later seized the book, portions were published in 2015, and it eventually became fully unredacted through court filings, leaks and, finally, a formal government release.

The flight logs and black book included names of prominent figures, such as Bill Clinton, former Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz, Kevin Spacey, Jean-Luc Brunel, Larry Summers and Trump. None of those individuals have been convicted of any Epstein-related crime, and all deny wrongdoing.

The release of new emails by House Oversight Committee Democrats from Epstein’s estate has reignited controversy over Trump’s past connections to the sex offender and Maxwell.

The newly released emails include Epstein describing Trump as “the dog that hasn’t barked”, recounting that Trump allegedly spent time at Epstein’s home with an unnamed victim, and saying that Trump requested Epstein resign from his Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, after learning of misconduct allegations. The victim is widely thought by House Democrats to be Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who died earlier this year by suicide.

The new law allows the Justice Department to withhold materials tied to active investigations, prompting concern among some of the bill’s supporters that the administration could use newly opened inquiries to avoid releasing politically sensitive names.

To counter that possibility, the law requires the department to publish, within 15 days of the release, a detailed explanation of every withheld document and every redaction. For survivors and their advocates, that accountability mechanism is central to the bill’s purpose. Many have pushed for years to publicly identify individuals they believe were complicit in Epstein’s abuse but feared lawsuits.

Republican Thomas Massie, the bill’s sponsor, had said yesterday, that he wants the FBI to release its interview notes with victims. “We need names”, he said. But, with Trump’s signature, that process has now begun.

Donald Trump’s Truth Social post continued, in part, “As everyone knows, I asked Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, to pass this Bill in the House and Senate, respectively. Because of this request, the votes were almost unanimous in favor of passage. At my direction, the Department of Justice has already turned over close to fifty thousand pages of documents to Congress. Do not forget, ‘The Biden Administration’ did not turn over a SINGLE file or page related to Democrat Epstein, nor did they ever even speak about him“.

Democrats have used the ‘Epstein’ issue, which affects them far more than the Republican Party, in order to try and distract from our AMAZING Victories. For years our Great Nation has had to endure RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, IMPEACHMENT HOAX #1, IMPEACHMENT HOAX #2, and many other Democrat created Witch Hunts and Scams, all of which have been so terrible and divisive for our Country, and have been done to confuse, deflect, and distract from the GREAT JOB that Republicans, and the Trump Administration, are doing. This latest Hoax will backfire on the Democrats just as all of the rest have! Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!””

Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene asked Tuesday while criticising what she called potential loopholes in enforcement, “Will the Department of Justice release the files, or will it all remain tied up in investigations?”

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer yesterday has said, that Democrats will hold the Justice Department accountable to release “full, unredacted” files on Epstein, following passage of legislation mandating their disclosure. “No hiding, no game playing, no covering up”, while pledging to apply pressure if officials attempt to limit transparency.
