Inauguration of Digital Library in Dholpur: Empowering Rural Development through the Power of Education — MD, IIFCL
Jaipur, Nov 2025 : On Tuesday, in the village of Kachhpura Aangai in Dholpur district, Rural Digital Library was formally launched with the joint support of IIFCL and the Zila Parishad, Dholpur. This initiative is a significant step towards realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India) through rural development, with education considered as its foundation.
During the program, IIFCL’s MD Shri Palash Srivastava said, “Rural India is the real strength of our country. If the children in villages get connected to digital libraries, they will be no less than the children of big cities.” He emphasized that equal access to education and technology is the right of every child.
He also stressed on road safety, urging youth to follow safety rules to avoid road accidents and create awareness among others. He added that road mishaps can be reduced by using helmets, seat belts, and following traffic rules sincerely.
Shri Srivastava further said, “Education is not limited to books, it is the key to new opportunities. The purpose of the Digital Library is to give every child—especially girls—a platform through which their dreams can soar high. We want this library to become not just a place for reading but a center where children’s aspirations take flight.”
He shared that IIFCL, in partnership with the Zila Parishad, is establishing such modern digital libraries in several villages of Dholpur district. These libraries will include facilities like computer labs, digital TVs, Wi-Fi, comfortable furniture, and career counseling for holistic development of students.
Zila Parishad CEO Shri Avhad Nivrutti Somnath (IAS) described this project as a new revolution in rural education. He announced that this digital library will be known as the “Samvidhan Mandir”, which will help villagers understand constitutional values, enhance participation in Digital India, promote community ownership with public participation, support employment and skill development, improve educational quality, and ultimately bring long-term sustainable change in the lives of rural people.
The mission also aims to empower women and girls through community participation. Girls from the village will also become role models and bring pride to the district, state, and the nation.
