Scheme Soon to Provide Incentives to Employees Generating New Business: Minister Shri Sarang
Cooperative Minister Shri Vishvas Kailash Sarang stated that an incentive scheme is being formulated for employees who initiate new businesses in cooperative societies (PACS). A plan for defaulter farmers is also in development. The intent is to ensure that irregularities within societies do not adversely affect the farmers. Minister Shri Sarang shared these points during the closing ceremony of the 72nd All India Cooperative Week, held at the Apex Bank Coordination Building. The event focused on ‘Promoting Digitisation for Operational Efficiency, Accountability and Transparency’. Shri Sarang honoured outstanding cooperative banks and PACS and launched the e-Office and Sahakar-Setu portal at the Apex Bank.
Ensuring Transparency with Computerisation
Minister Shri Sarang emphasised that the state government is strengthening every dimension of the cooperative movement. Through computerisation, operations are being streamlined and made transparent. Strengthening the cooperative movement via rural and urban economies will create new employment opportunities. The CPPP initiative is linking PACS with corporate entities, establishing new benchmarks and the benefits will reach both PACS and farmers. The incentive scheme will also reward employees for profitable results.
Cooperative Department Initiatives Enhance Farmer Prosperity
Minister Shri Sarang highlighted that, guided by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision and inspired by Union Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah’s ‘Prosperity Through Cooperation’ mission, the cooperative department of Madhya Pradesh is progressing under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to meet the ‘Developed India@2047’ goal. Every initiative, from PACS computerisation to CPPP implementation, is vital for ensuring farmer happiness and strengthening both rural and urban economies.
Taking Cooperation to the Ground Level
Cooperation Commissioner Shri Manoj Pushp stated that the year 2025 was declared the International Year of Cooperatives, now reaching its conclusion, with the aim of taking cooperative initiatives to grassroots levels. Apex Bank Managing Director Shri Manoj Gupta delivered the welcome address. The event was attended by Waqf Board Chairman Shri Sanwar Patel, Deputy Secretary Shri Manoj Sinha, Special Duty Officer Shri Arun Mathur and officials and staff from all regional cooperative societies and cooperative banks of Madhya Pradesh. The closing ceremony featured the screening of a short film on the evolution of cooperatives in Madhya Pradesh and the Apex Bank’s banking network. The event began with the hoisting of the cooperative flag, followed by the ‘Cooperative Anthem’.
