Delhi Court Sends Four Newly Arrested Blast Case Accused to 10-Day NIA Custody

New Delhi, Nov 2025 : A Delhi court on Thursday remanded four recently arrested individuals in the November 10 Delhi blast case to 10 days’ custody of the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The arrests mark a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the deadly car bomb explosion that claimed multiple lives and injured dozens.

The accused have been identified as Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai of Pulwama, Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather of Anantnag, Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay of Shopian — all residents of Jammu and Kashmir — and Dr. Shaheen Saeed of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. With their arrest, the total number of people taken into custody in the case has risen to six.

During Thursday’s hearing, the NIA requested 15 days’ custody of the four accused to facilitate further interrogation. However, the Special Court granted 10 days of custodial remand. The agency stated that the accused were brought into NIA custody in Srinagar following production orders issued by the District Sessions Judge of Patiala House Court.

According to the NIA, the four individuals played crucial roles in executing the terror attack, which resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians and left many others injured. Their arrests follow the earlier detention of Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the vehicle used in the blast was registered, and Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, who allegedly provided technical expertise to the main perpetrator.

Wani is accused of supplying technical support by modifying drones and attempting to develop rocket-like devices to aid in terror activities. This included preparations leading up to the car bomb blast that killed 13 people and injured 32.

On Monday, the Delhi court had also remanded Amir Rashid Ali to 10 days of NIA custody. Ali, a resident of Kashmir, was arrested on November 16 for his suspected involvement in planning the attack alongside the primary accused, Dr. Umar.

The NIA said the interrogation of all accused persons is underway as part of its broader efforts to uncover the full conspiracy behind the blast. The case, registered as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI, continues to be a top priority for the agency as it pieces together the roles of each individual involved in the coordinated terror plot.

The investigation is ongoing, with the NIA working to identify additional suspects and determine the broader network behind the November 10 attack.
