Enthusiastic Response to Exhibition on New Criminal Laws

Exhibition to Remain Open Until November 23

Mumbai, Nov 2025 : An exhibition based on the new criminal laws — the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam — has been organized at Azad Maidan. In this exhibition, a 25-minute play is performed demonstrating and explaining the new laws in detail. Citizens are giving an enthusiastic response to this unique exhibition. The exhibition will remain open until Sunday, November 23, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The exhibition features sections of the Main Control Room, Police Station, Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory, Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Directorate of Prosecution, City Civil and Sessions Court, High Court, and Central Prison. A demonstration is presented showing how punishment is awarded to an accused person in accordance with the provisions of the new laws.

Posters displaying information about various sections of the laws have been presented in attractive colour themes.

Along with the presentations, digital screens with a two-minute questionnaire containing 10 questions have been installed to provide deeper information about the laws. Citizens are answering the questions on these screens to learn more about the new legal framework. Arrangements have also been made for visitors to give digital feedback about the exhibition. Stalls showcasing products made by prison inmates have also been set up at the venue.

The Home Department has appealed to citizens to visit the exhibition in large numbers and learn about the new criminal laws. Students, legal experts, law students, and court staff in particular are encouraged to attend.
